"Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. R. Duff, of Dragon-street, Warwick, of the sad news from the Base Records Office, of the death of their only son, Private Robert Duff, which occurred in action in France on November 5. Private Duff was among those who enlisted early in the-war, and was through the Gallipoli campaign, before going to France." - from the Brisbane Daily Standard 01 Dec 1917 (nla.gov.au)
