Son of Frederick and Margaret Jane (nee King) Blight; husband of Anne Blight nee Fitzpatrick. John and Annie married on the 28 May 1912 in the Methodist Parsonage, LeFevre Terrace, North Adelaide. Father of Dorothy Margaret Blight and Doreen Annie Blight. Doreen died at the age of 4 weeks. John's wife Annie died in 1917
Brother of Albert Ernest Blight, Annie Elizabeth Blight, Edith Annie Blight, Fred Blight - served in the 27 Battalion, Alfred Blight - served in the 27 Battalion and was killed in action and Eric George Blight
