"...175 Private James Edward Hebden Radford, 3rd Battalion, of Summer Hill, NSW. A furniture salesman prior to enlisting in August 1914, Pte Radford embarked from Sydney on board HMAT Euripides (A14) on 19 October 1914. His unit took part in the landing at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. Pte Radford was appointed Lance Corporal (L Cpl) on 1 May 1915. He was wounded in action at Lone Pine, Gallipoli, on 12 August 1915 and died in Malta on 22 August 1915, aged 19." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
