"BRIGGS.— The Private Funeral of William Henry Briggs, late 9th Battn., 1st A.I.F.. will leave the Funeral Parlour, 45 Adelaide St., City, This (Thursday) Morning, after service, commencing at 8.45 o'clock, for the Crematorium, Mt Thompson." - from the Courier Mail 03 Dec 1953 (nla.gov.au)
