Son of George Hamilton and Catherine Charlotte Hamilton of 'Exhall', Gladstone Street, Kogarah, NSW; brother of Leslie James Bid who served with the 17 Battlion and returned to Australia on 3 September 1915

Died on board the hospital ship Sicilia.
