Private J. Caskey was the eldest son of Mrs S. Caskey (formerly Bennet), of Ford Street, Gawler South Australia. J. Caskey died of wounds during the battle at France on 2 October 1916.
Caskey was 18 years and 10 months old when he enlisted in war in 1915 and was 19 years old when he died.
