Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Frederick Wilson and Jane Scott UTHER

Major Gordon Arthvael Uther, who died on December 11 from wounds received at Gallipoli, was only 31 years of age. He left Sydney as adjutant to the 20th Battalion, and had been in the trenches since August 13. Before the war he was connected with the citizen forces, being captain-adjutant of the 29th (Australian Rifles). He followed the profession of solicitor, and was in the firm of Bradley and Son, of Sydney.
