Son of John Earll and Hannah Kennedy Earl nee Tunnock of Woohlpoowe, Victoria formerly of 'Mooralla', Cavendish, Victoria. Brother of Archie Earll, Ellen Frances Earll, Esther Jane Earll, Lena Anne Earll and William John MM who returned to Australia on 28 March 1919 having served with the 14th Battalion
