During the period 16/17th September 1918 to 11 Nov 1918 Lieut JENKINS commanded a company.
At JEANCOURT during the operations from 18th to 23rd September this officer displayed great initiative. He was entrusted with the very difficult task of following the advance with his company in close support, and very ably reinforced the front line with his platoons. He reorganised broken platoons of the advanced troops, formed them into a company and eventually led them into the final assault.
His unerring judgement and steadfast support were largely conducive to the consummation of the success of the operations in hand.
