Died on this date - 5th May.......Private Henry John Fullick was born at Minmi, near Wallsend, NSW in 1891. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 10th January, 1916 as a 24 year old Miner from Seaham, No. 2, West Wallsend, NSW.

Private Fullick arrived in England on 9th July, 1916 & was posted to a Training Battalion at Larkhill, Wiltshire. He proceeded overseas to France on 21st November, 1916.

Private Fullick was transferred from 35th Battalion to 9th Machine Gun Company on 14th February, 1917.

Private Fullick was sent to Hospital on 3rd December, 1917 with Myalgia & rejoined his Unit on 28th December, 1917. He was on leave to England from 24th January, 1918 & rejoined his Unit on 9th February, 1918.

Private Fullick was wounded in action - Gassed on 17th April, 1918. He was invalided to England & admitted to The Beaufort War Hospital, Bristol, England on 27th April, 1918 & was reported as seriously ill.

Private Henry John Fullick died at 6 am on 5th May, 1918 at The Beaufort War Hospital, Bristol, England from wounds – “suffocating Shells, Gas poison, & Capillary Bronchitis”. He was buried in Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England where 21 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
