Biography

"...2800 Private Arthur William Snook, 18th Battalion, of Cudal, NSW. A grocer prior to enlistment, he embarked from Sydney with the 6th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Euripides (A14) on 2 November 1915. He was taken on strength and transferred to the 3rd Battalion in February 1916. Pte Snook was killed in action in France on 27 July 1916, aged 19. His brother 2236 Pte Henry John Snook, 45th Battalion returned to Australia on 26 September 1917." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
