SHEEHAN. - In memory of Corporal Albert Edward Sheehan, killed in action at Lone Pine, Gallipoli, on August 8th, 1915.
He was fighting for his country,
He answered duty's call ;
His friends, his home, and comfort,
He sacrificed them all.
- Inserted by Hilda Lucas, Macarthur.
SHEEHAN.—In sad and Ioving remembrance of our dear brother, Private Albert Edward Sheehan, who was killed in action on the 8th August, 1915, at Gallipoli (battle of Lone Pine), aged 21 years.
Brother, rest, thy warfare o'er
Sleep the sleep that knows no waking;
Dream of battlefields no more,
Morn of toil nor light of waking.
—Inserted by his sorrowing sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Richard G. Blanchfield.
