SOLDIER FAREWELLED.
Cr V. E. Gane presided over a "send- off" accorded to Pte. Philip C. Cosstick at Amherst. During the evening - the president of the shire Cr. Alf. Matthews, on behalf of the residents of the district, presented Pte Cosstick with a wallet and belt. There were also presents for Ptes. A.G. Whitworth, J. and F. Lindsay but as they were unable to be present the gifts were handed to the brothers of the young soldiers named.
