Biography

Son of Peter and Margaret Cameron Galbraith.

BELOVED SON OF PETER AND MARGARET GALBRAITH OF STAWELL, VICTORIA

Deep regret was expressed through out the Tatyoon district on Tuesday last when the sad news was received by telegram that Sergeant Norman Galbraith had been killed in action in France on the 9th August. Sergeant Galbraith, who was thirty-three years of age, had been resident in the Tatyoon district for several years, following the calling of a farmer, when he enlisted for service, and his elder brother, Mr Afton Galbraith, is also settled in that district. The deceased young soldier is well known in Ararat, coming into the town to do business frequently, and was very popular with all with whom he became associated. He was the second son of the late Mr and Mrs Peter Galbraith, of Stawell, and was a native of the latter town.
