Son of John Cuthbert & Eleanor SNOWBALL
Of Tongala, Victoria

His friends at Tongala were advised on Wednesday that Captain A. Snowball had died of wounds in France on August 14. Captain Snowball had been 3 1/2 years on service, joining as a private, and gaining promotion to the rank of captain on the field. He was 27 years, of age and at the time of enlistment, was an accountant in the Royal Bank, Melbourne. His  mother and another son reside at Tongala, and general sympathy has been extended to them in their sad loss. The deceased soldier was well-known in Tongala district, and was extremely popular amongst a wide circle of friends.
