At the time of enlistment he gave his age as 44 years and 2 months however as per Book/Page 17/248 his true age was 55 years and date of birth was 23 June 1859

Son of George Barr Yeates and Louisa Rebecca (nee Powell) Yeates

Brother of Edith Koralie Yeats, Ernest George Yeates, Rosalie Emily Yeates and Frances Gertrude Yeates

Husband of Jane (nee Rebder) Yeates of 5 Marlborough Street, Malvern, SA. Andrew and Jane were married on 28 March 1888 in St Paul Church, Orroroo, SA

They were the parents of Agnes Minna Yeates, Edith Louisa Yeates and James August Yeates who returned to Australia on 3 December 1919 having served with the 4th Field Ambulance. James enlisted 3 day safter his father
