Biography contributed by Naomi Mellor

Married Margarette O'Grady in 1896 and settled in Camperdown, where she and the Children (5) remained after he was KIA in 1916.

George enlisted in Yarram, where we believe he was working at the time as an engineer.

A well loved son and father.  A talented shooter and active member of the local Camperdown gun club.

KIA as he was resting and looking for rations around 5pm on New years eve.

His wife never remarried.
