He served in France
He was wounded in action 9 July 1917, he recieved an injury to his right arm and left eye.
Alexander was sent back to Australia- impaired vision per the 'A" 29 SUEVIE 27/9/1917 and
was discharged 22/12/1917.
Alexander was the son of Alexander Dean and Annie Stewart, he married Mary McIntosh [1880-1951] in 1901 and they had 7 sons and 2 daughters.
