Son of Mr. H. E. and Mrs. Ada Sebina Hicks, of Hatton St., Ryde, New South Wales.
HIS MEMORY DWELLS WITHIN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO LOVED HIM BEST
HICKS.— Officially reported killed in action in France, May 28, 1917, Private: Frank Hamilton (Paddy), third dearly loved son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hicks, of Ryde, aged 20 years.
He fell a hero in a deadly strife,
For King and country he 'laid down his life.
Fame was achieved, and he had done his share,
To win those laurels, rich and rare.
HICKS.— Officially reported killed in action in France, May 28, 1917, Private Frank Hamilton (Paddy), aged 20 years. Inserted by his loving brothers and sisters, Walter, Arthur, Harry, Linda, and Hilda.
His country called and honor bade him go.
To battle against a grim and deadly foe.
Foremost was he, in thickest stride,
For King and country he laid down his life.
