He was 44 and the son of James and Catherine Quinn; husband of Elizabeth Quinn, of 145, Arundel St., Forest Lodge, Sydney, New South Wales.

For more than a century, his name has been recorded as having no known grave on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, but in 2020, his grave has been located at the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery.
