Also known as Herbert Leonard FISHER. 

A letter in his service file states that Hill is the name of his step father, and he elected to use it. 

His service was with the 11th Btn, enlisting in 1916. He was 19 years old.  He had Measeles and Mumps on seperate occasions while in service.

In 1917 he was wounded during bombing practice while in France. Later in 1917 while at the front in France had GSW. After recovery re joined the unit in 1918. 

Returned to Australia 1919.

In March 1921 he committed suicide in his bedroom with a shot gun - newspapers reported he was suffering shell shock, and that he had been home from hospital for a week. 

He is buried as his name of : Herbert Leonard Fisher

His Mother was Clara, Father's name was John, brother was George.
