9 Sep 1916: Embarked Private, 1099, Light Trench Mortar Batteries, HMAT Euripides, Sydney
10 Apr 1917: Involvement AIF WW1, Private, 1099, 3rd Infantry Battalion, Proceeded to France ex England, and marched in to Etaples on 11 April 1917. Taken on the strength of 3rd Battalion on 2 May.
4 Oct 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 1099, 3rd Infantry Battalion, Broodseinde Ridge, Wounded in action during the Battle of Broodseinde, part of the Third Ypres campaign. The 3rd Battalion took part in the 1st Division’s assault on the Broodseinde Ridge, one of the most successful Australian operations of the war. Pte. Treacy sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was evacuated.
25 Nov 1917: Involvement AIF WW1, Private, 1st Light Trench Mortar Battery, Rejoined 1st LTMB, operating in the Ypres sector of Belgium. Remained with that unit through to leave on 13 February 1918 in the UK.
5 Jun 1918: Involvement Australian General Base Depot (AIF), Marched in to the AGBD at Havre. Rejoined the 1st Australian Light Motor Transport Brigade on 14 June in France, but 3 days later he was admitted sick to the 15th CCS. On 30 June, marched again in to the AGBD at Havre.
20 Jun 1919: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1099, Mechanical Transport Companies (AIF - WW1), Left England for Australia aboard "H.T. Konig Frederich August", disembarking at Sydney on 10 August 1919.
25 Sep 1919: Discharged AIF WW1, Private, 1099, Mechanical Transport Companies (AIF - WW1), Discharged from the 1st Australian Divisional Mechanical Transport Company at Sydney.
