    Son of Thomas Vaughan and Elizabeth Ann Vaughan of 'Copmanhurst', Clarence River, NSW.

    Brother of Leslie Vaughan who returned to Australia on 19 February 1919 having served with the 26th Battalion and Reginald Thomas Vaughan who returned to Australia 30 January 1919 having served with the Australian Flying Coprs.
