Father Michael DUFFY and Mother Mary Duffy (nee DAW).
Wife: Myrtle Rose Duffy (nee Whittaker), b. 1892.
Her father William Richard WHITTAKER and Susan WHITTAKER (born Coote).
William was born on September 22 1859, in Wisconsin, U.S.A..
Susan was born on July 8 1865, in Inman Valley, South Australia.
Myrtle and Arthur lived at Port Broughton, South Australia, prior to his enlisting.
1920 Myrtle re-married: Hebert Henry Stevenson in 1920.
Hebert b. 10/09/1885 in Dawesley, SA
They had 2 children: Gordon William Stephenson and one other
Myrtle passed away 1972 (79 years of age).

Arthur Duffy was the son of Michael and Mary Duffy and was married to Myrtle Rose. Arthur and Myrtle lived in Port Broughton. He was born at Long Gully (Milang) on 22 December 1886. An outstanding footballer Arthur had been presented with the Perryman gold medal for the best all round player in the Port Broughton Football Club in 1912.
A Master Mariner, he was 32 years old and employed on the dredge at Port Pirie when he enlisted on 14 October 1916.
Arthur was posted to 2 Reinforcements 43 Battalion and embarked from Adelaide on 12 August 1916 aboard HMAT A70 “Ballarat” and disembarked in Plymouth on 30 September. In England he was transferred to 41 Battalion.
Arthur was wounded on 28 December and died of his wounds on 5 January 1918.
3073 Private E. Evans – “I was only five yards away from him when I saw him wounded by a machine gun bullet which entered his body low down on one side and came out under his arm on the other side, It was about 7.30pm on Dec 30 in the Fleurbaix Sector at the corner of the side track running across the railway line”.
Arthur is buried in the Trois Abres Cemetery Plot2 Row C Grave 40.
