The enemy having driven our men down trench (O.G.1) a counter-attack was organised in old communication trench between O.G.1 and O.G.2 Sergeant Adams led the bombing attack and by his skill and leadership the enemy were driven back to their original position. The coolness, courage, and presence of mind displayed by Sgt. Adams set an example to the men.
