Family Friends after the War
Mr Snowden lived behind my Grandfather (Norman PREDDY 3194) in Greenslopes. I never knew George as I was one when he died. My mother Heather lost her mum when she was only nine. George's wife Edith was like a mother to her and grandmother to me. Edith 'Snowdy' passed away in 1982. I believe George and Edith married in Southhampton, England and they lived their life in Henry Street Greenslopes. George owned and ran a successful business in Henry Street Greenslopes. Unfortunately, some 20 years ago George's full War photo fell to the floor and the 'For King and Country' painted war plaque was destroyed. I kept his photo. I have earlier lifestyle photos from their life. They never had children.
