Address at the time of enlistment was given as Naval House, Sydney, NSW. Full name is Burnard Augustus Osborne but served as Burnard Osborne.

Son of Edmund John Burnard Osborne and Harriet Osborne of Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, NZ.

Previously served with the Palmerston North Rifles, NZ

Returned to Australia on 11 January 1916 aboard HT Commonwealth for change due to enteric fever later returning to England disembarking on 29 February 1916. Returned to duty on 10 August 1916.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1918 aboard HT Port Darwin disembarking on 17 August 1918

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal.

In 1920 Burnard was living in Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, NZ
