3039 Private Edward George Taylor, Born at N0. 7 Hobson Street, Adelaide, South Australia. The son of Thomas and Sarah Taylor he joined the Army on the 19th July 1915 and was sent to France with the Australian 12th Battalion. Private Taylor was wounded twice and the last resulted in wounds of the chest, shoulder and knee, he was repatriated back to the Brock War Hospital in Woolwich, UK before returning home to Australia. he received the 14-15 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal. he passed on the 6th November 1946 at the age of 50 and is interned at the Enfield Cemetary in Adelaide, South Australia.
