George St. John Fancourt McDONALD was born in Rocklea, Queensland on 23rd September, 1882
His parents were George Thomas McDONALD and Amelia Margaret MITCHELL
He married Erina Gladys ICHILTREE in Victoria in 1911 - two known sons
1.Hew / Hugh Fancourt Graham McDONALD born 1912 who served in WW2 as a Major in the Army (2/4th Field Ambulance) (SN VX14704) & was Killed in Action in Papua on 27th November, 1942
2. Ian Ochiltree McDONALD born 1915 who served in WW2 in the Australian Army as a Lieutenant (SN VX 34901) - discharged in 1944
