Son of Alfred Paine Fox and Mary E.J. Fox of 'Nirvana', Mary Street, Longueville, NSW. Brother of Sidney James Fox who returned to Australia on 26 March 1919 having served with the 8th Field Company Engineers and Edith M. Fox
Commenced return to Australia on 20 April 1919 aboard Boonah disembarking on the 8 June 1919
