Son of Henry C. Ziegler and Mary Ziegler of Moruya, NSW

Next of kin given as his brother Herman Christian Ziegler of Port Lincoln, NSW. Herman also enlisted in late 1918 but the war ceased before he embarked and he was discharged.

Commenced return to Australia on 6 October 1919 aboard HT Pakeha disembarking 21 November 1919
