Biography contributed by Carol Foster

Son of John Blair Foster and Mary Ann Foster of Telegraph Point, NSW later of Hibbard, NSW. Brother of William George Foster and who was killed in action on 4 April 1918 while serving with the 36th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux.

Commenced return to Australia on 16 January 1919 abord HT Demosthenes disembarking on  the 6 May 1919
