Add my storyBiography contributed by Geoffrey Gillon
Gershun Harbert was born in Warsaw, then lived in Russia. He had a sister Mrs Z Posner living at Sidney Street, London E.1. It is surmised that his family, like many other Jewish refugees, fled violent 'pogroms' agains the Jews in eastern Europe in the late 1880s. Many settled in London and many others emigrated to other Commonwealth countries including Australia
