From his records his next of kin was listed as C BALES, Wee Waa, NSW - a letter states both his parents were deceased and he was put into state school care. He belived he had a living sister, but no trace was found of her and his medals were not issued and put on the untraceable list. His will had C Bales as sole beneficiary.
