William Benjamin Jenkins was born in 1882 at Echuca, Victoria.

His parents, WT & MEA Jenkins lived at Lancaster, via Kyabram, Vic.

He joined the 1st AIF on 23/9/1914 and was assigned to the 14th Battalion. The 14th Battalion landed at Gallipoli on 25/26 April 1915 and fought through the campaign, finally being evacuated on December 18th 1915.

Willam Jenkins, like so many others, died of disease (Dysentery) on 29/8/1915. He has no known grave and is remembered on the Lone Pine Memorial.
