Son of Henry Charles House and Elizabeth House nee Kinchinton of Johnson Street, Fitzroy, Victoria.
Brother of Richard Macedon House who was killed in action on 21 July 1917 while serving with the 10th Field Artillery Brigade and is buried in the Oak Dump Cemetery Row F, Grave 3.
