Son of Timothy O'Leary and Mary Ann O'Leary nee Woods of Kyneton, Victoria. Brother of Julia Williams nee O'Leary of Hawthorn, Victoria, James O'Leary who returned to Australia on 5 November 1917 having served with the 21st Battalion and died in 1961 and is buried in the Kyneton Cemetery and Francis O'Leary
