19th July 1915: Enlisted in 30th Battalion, Transport Section, at Surry Hills, Sydney, service no. 317

19th July 1915: Certificate of Medical Examination, by Captain H. Donovan, in Sydney

19th July 1915 (until 1st August 1915): Began service at 9.13 Depot with 30th Battalion

27th July 1915: Certificate of Attesting Officer, Liverpool, Sydney, signed by F. W. Hunt, 2nd Lieutenant

2nd August 1915 (until 3rd March 1916): Transferred to BR 41/84 MEF 13/16, 30th Battalion, Transport Section

9th November 1915: Embarked from Sydney. His service record states that he travelled on the H.M.A.T. Katuna, but other official records state that he travelled on the H.M.A.T. Beltana.

16th December 1915: Disembarked in the Suez, Egypt

15th March 1916: 5th Division Artillery, ranked as Private. BR 54 P4...

15th March 1916 (until 31st May 1916): 15th Field Artillery Brigade (FAB), mustered as Gunner. Appointed BR 65/39 RH

16th March 1916 (until 27th April 1916): Taken on Strength 15th Field Artillery Brigade as Gunner and posted to 57th Battery

2nd May 1916 (until 31st May 1916): Transferred to 60th Battery, Ferry Post

1st June 1916 (until 13th July 1916): Mustered as Driver at Moascar, Egypt
