Frank was born to Johann and Rosalie Kluck. His mother's maiden name was Froischki. Frank's parents married in October of 1878 after Johann's first wife (Rosalie Newmann) passed away on 24 Jun 1878.
Johann and his second wife Rosalie had 9 children. Frank grew up in the Lowood area until his father made a move towards Murgon around the turn of the century. Johann selected land there until his death in 1916.
Frank enlisted on 16 Apr 1915 at Wondai. He was assigned to the 26th Battalion with a height of 5' 7" and weighing 147 pounds. Frank was sent home to Broadmeadows Victoria on the 25th of September 1915 until the 1st of May 1916 suffering from his first bout of venereal disease. Within 2 weeks of arriving in England Frank had again contracted V.D. A month out from being killed Frank contracted V.D. for the third and final time. Frank was killed on 09 Dec 1916, and he was buried at the Bull's Road Cemetery, Flers, alongside 5 other soldiers. They were 3424 Pte. William David Patchett, 3303 Pte. William Edward Gould, 5336 Pte. Herbert Eugen Besant, 3319 Pte. Herbert Byrne Given and 2382 L/Cpl. Henry Heath.
