Son of Daniel and Elizabeth Donahoo of 29 Erskine Street, North Melbourne; brother of Daniel Donahoo who returned ro Australia 9 December 1918
His mother signed the letter of consent fo Michael to serve overseas
Statement from eyewitness states:-
20 December 1916 - Pte J. Watson of D Company with 59 Battalion (patient, No 26 General Hospital at Etaples), said 'He was killed at Fleurbaix on July 19. I was beside him when he was shot through the head and killed outright. I stayed with him for some time to see if I could do any good, but he was quite dead. His body had not been brought in when we came out two days later.'
