Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Herbert Horne was 6-foot one inch tall on his enlistment in 1916. His younger brother, 5110 William James Horne 52nd Battalion AIF, was killed in action two days after Herbert, on 24 April 1918.
They were the sons of John and Mary Anne Horne, of Bothwell, Tasmania, who had to deal with the news of the death of two sons within days of each other.
