Gerald Garfield SCHLENCKER was born in South Brisbane, Queensland on 23rd August, 1887
His parents were Ernest Geard SCHLENCKER & Florence Gertrude CASTON
He married Lilian Maude CROKAM in QAueensland on 11th October, 1920 - two known sons, Peter Gerald & Robert Stirling
He enlisted in Brisbane on 10th May, 1915 and embarked with the 7th Field Ambulance from Brisbane on HMAT Ascanius on 24th May, 1915 - he returned to Australia on 3rd May, 1919 - discharge date unknown & last Rank was Corporal
Gerald died in Brisbane on 16th March, 1982

His sons both served in the Royal Australian Air Force during WW2
1. Peter Gerald SCHLENCKER (SN 405883) who died on 14th October, 1944
2. Robert Stirling SCHLENCKER (SN 435181) returned to Australia & discharged 8.3.1946
Robert died in 2009
