BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES

SERGEANT ANDREW PAUL.

Members of the Australian Government Workers' Association will very much regret to learn of the death of Sergeant Andrew Paul, who was killed in action at the Dardanelles. He was a born soldier, having been in the Imperial army and also the permanent forces in Australia, besides serving for two years in the South African war.

Sergeant Paul was always an active unionist and Laborite, he having resigned his membership of the management committee of the Government Workers’ Association to enlist upon the first day of recruiting.  He also represented the same union for many terms upon the United Labor Party and Trades and Labor Councils.
