His brother, 9926 Gnr. Robert James Jackson 22nd Bty. 21st Field Artillery Brigade AIF, died of wounds inflicted at Pozieres 29th July, 1916, aged 25.

They were the sons of Samuel James Jackson and Harriet Jackson of Coogee, New South Wales.
