4719565 ABRAHAM Richard John, 22, from Whyalla, South Australia, had completed an apprenticeship as a professional photographer when he was called up for National Service in February 1968. The Lance Corporal with 9RAR was killed in action in Phuoc Tuy Province on July 6, 1969. His older brother, Brian, also served in Vietnam with the RAN Fleet Air Arm.
