Son of Paul Henry and Amelia Ernestine Krieg, of Hectorville, South Australia.

Assistant Steward Douglas Archibald Krieg was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krieg, of Arthur street, Payneham. His nineteenth birthday fell on  Saturday. Before joining the navy, he was in a militia light horse regiment for some years. He was educated at Sturt Street School, and worked 
for Turners Ltd., butchers.
