Arthur George VOIGT

Arthur Enlisted in the R.A.N.S. 29 Jul 1941 as Assistant Steward No PA2352. "Torrens" Adelaide. Mobilised to "Cerberus" Victoria. Served "Torrens", "Adelaide", "Bathurst", "Burnie", "Torrens". Served in the Sydney, Darwin, South China Seas, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea and the Mediterranean Sea. Discharged 17 May 1946.
We don't know what Vessel Arthur was serving on 27 Aug 1941 to 27 Jun 1942, during this time the HMAS "Sydney" was lost at sea off Western Australia. Arthur had always said he was supposed to be on the Sydney but it sailed without him, he was in Hospital with Appendicitis.
