Son of Frederick George Brice Standish, and Isabel Stella Standish, of Croydon Park, South Australia.
Leading-Seaman George Frederick Standish, of Harriet street, Croydon, was a son of Staff-Sgt. F. G. Standish, of the A.I.F. and of Mrs. Standish. and would have been 21 in March. He was educated at Croydon School and Woodville High School. He was keenly interested in cycling. His mother was advised by him recently that he had been made a leading seaman. He had been in the navy since he was 16.
