Son of Archibald Charles and Violet Richards, of Marlston, South Australia. Commodore Largs Bay Dinghy Club, 1939-1941
Engineroom Artificer H. Richards, 27, of Sarah street, Marleston, had been in the Sydney only since September. For many months he had tried to obtain a release from munitions work to go into the navy. He trained at Flinders Naval Depot before being posted. He was formerly a Boy Scout in the Richmond district. He was also commodore of the Largs Dinghy Club for two years.
