Son of Donald Victor McKechnie and Lexa Jean McKechnie nee Morton of Henley Beach South, SA

Ord. Seaman Glen Morton McKechnie, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. McKechnie, of Myrtle street, Seacliff, had an ambition dating from his boyhood to join the navy. He was educated at Rose Park School and Norwood High School, and went straight from school into the navy in 1939.
